PAWHUSKA HIGH SCHOOL ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL/ ATHLETIC DIRECTOR

 

Pawhuska High School currently has an opening for assistant principal for purpose/s of providing support to the instructional process with specific responsibility for directing assigned programs and services at a high school; providing information and serving as a resource to others; supervising assigned staff; coordinating school activities and addressing issues, situations and/or problems that arise on campus or with enrolled students.

 

SKILLS are required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include: planning and managing projects; using pertinent software applications; 1:1 initiative planning, preparing and maintaining accurate records; and administering personnel policies.

 

KNOWLEDGE is required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include: state education laws and regulations, policies; conflict resolution, and concepts of management and supervision.

 

ABILITY is required to schedule a number of activities, meetings, and/or events and flexibility is required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include: communicating with diverse groups; maintaining confidentiality; setting priorities; working as part of a team; working with frequent interruptions; creating a positive school climate for students, staff and community; and adapting to changing work priorities.

PHS Athletic Director program planning involves 7-12th grade events and activities.

 

Credentials must include Oklahoma teaching certificate with Secondary principal endorsement.

VARSITY CHEER COACH

Pawhuska High school has an opening for varsity cheer coach.

Must have the following qualifications and expectations, if bold print, must present certification with application:

 

  •   Must be AACCA certified in order for their squad to stunt.
  •   Successful completion of Care and Prevention of Athletic Injuries and all other yearly trainings.
  •   Demonstrate a mastery of and continuing interest in coaching principles and techniques through professional improvement.
  •   Achieve a thorough understanding and acceptance of the rules of the game and the standards of eligibility
  •   Exemplify the highest moral character, behavior and leadership.
  •   Respect the integrity and personality of the individual athlete.
  •   Abide by the rules of the game in letter and in spirit, regardless of the consequences.
  •   Respect the integrity and judgment of sports officials, never baiting or taunting officials in any way, or seeking out an official during half-time or at the conclusion of a contest.
  •   Encourage and respect all athletes and their values.
  •   Display modesty in victory and graciousness in defeat.
  •   Promote ethical relations among coaches.
  •   Fulfill responsibilities to provide emergency health procedures and ensure an environment free of obvious safety hazards.
  •   Encourage the highest standards of conduct and scholastic achievement among all athletes.
  •   Seek to inculcate good health habits, including the establishment of sound training rules.
  •   Strive to develop in each athlete the qualities of leadership, initiative and good judgment.

 

 

8-9th Grade Math teacher

Requirements: Must be certified to teach Pre-Algebra and Algebra I. Current Oklahoma teaching certificate.


 

Non-Certified

 

Custodian

12 month position, 8 hours per day

Must be able to work around children of all ages.

School bus CDL is a plus, help getting licensed is available.

 

Substitute teachers, cafeteria workers and custodians

These are on call, as needed positions.

Must be able to work around children of all ages.
