Reminder for Jr High parents!! If your student is going to be a 7th or 8th grader next year, and they are planning on playing school sports, physicals are tomorrow! Please follow the attached time schedule. Go Huskies!!

Jr High went on our MAPS Reward Incentive Field Trip today and had a blast! πWe went to the ROCK in Bartlesville and there was something for everyone to do! πTo earn this trip, students had to meet their growth goals on the Spring MAPS test in 3 of the 4 subjects. Over 100 students got to go!! ππ»Great job students and teachers!!

6th graders in Project Lead The Way are shown here creating "Mars Landers". They hope to launch next week and land their clay people on "Mars"... stay tuned!

Jr High 8th grade class will be selling a slice of pizza and a pop after school tomorrow for $5! πProceeds go towards JH graduation and Awards assembly.
Just a little snippet of what Miss Arnold's JH "Project Lead The Way" class has been up to! Inquiry based activity to get students to understand that different types of solid and liquid fuels affect the height of an object during liftoff. Students are developing a propellant for launching rockets. They tested different combinations of chemicals to determine the best for their rocket fuel. They made their rockets out of film canisters to test the different combinations of chemicals for the fuel.

Pawhuska Junior High got to enjoy the Solar Eclipse this afternoon with the Eclipse viewer boxes they made in Science class, and also with the special Eclipse viewer glasses! What a fun experience!! πππππππ
Jr High Students are preparing for the total Solar Eclipse that will happen Monday during class time! Students shown here are making their eclipse viewer boxes for the event. It's perfect timing too, because we're actually studying phases of the moon right now! ππβοΈ
Pawhuska Jr High is thankful for Mrs. Richardson for allowing Delilah Grace Richardson(dog) to become a member of PJHS. She is a CERTIFIED THERAPY DOG that works with students in need.
Delilah works out of Mrs Brunoβs room, where she remains in her kennel unless working with students. She is the highlight of some of our students' days and we are lucky to have her!

7th grade class at PJH just finished reading Out of My Mind in Language Arts. This is our 7th year and Son Wi Sellers has spoken every year to the students but this year she was a part of the class! The story highlights the challenges of cerebral palsy.
Jr High celebrated Maps growth rewards Thursday at Huskie Cinema - showing Top Gun Maverick. Full concession was available. πΏπͺπ«π₯€Great job students!!
